SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The University of New England’s Avery Alberghini (Moretown, Vt.) highlighted a list of four Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) student-athletes who were honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) with postseason awards.
The 2019 CCC Player of the Year was named to the NFCA All-America Second Team in an at-large spot. She was also a member of the NFCA All-New England First Team at catcher.
The conference had two student-athletes recognized on the All-New England Second Team with Endicott’s Gina DeMilt (Princeton, N.J.) and Salve Regina’s Amanda Riley (Barrington, N.H.) both earning selections.
Jamie Hopgood (Warwick, R.I.) also represented the Gulls on the NFCA All-Region team with a Third Team selection.

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), founded in 1984, is an NCAA Division III athletic conference comprised of nine full member and one associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The conference administers championships in 18 intercollegiate sports.
